I am a scientist, manager and entrepreneur. My background is in theoretical physics and I am active in quantum technology, open-source software and deep tech transfer.

I am co-founder of Metis, a regtech startup that simplifies and automates compliance checks.

I am fellow and board member of the Unitary Foundation, a non-profit organization that performs in-house research in quantum tech and supports the quantum open-source software ecosystem.  

Previously, I served as CTO of Unitary Foundation and managing director of its EU entity.

I have been the Chief Strategy Officer of Quantum Italia, a startup studio based in Italy, whose main focus is helping teams in quantum tech at the early stage in startup creation and acceleration. A second focus is attracting already established startups to the Italian ecosystem.

I have been a visiting scientist at RIKEN, Japan’s national lab, where I have been a postdoctoral research scientist in the Theoretical Quantum Physics Laboratory. While in Japan, I co-founded the Association of Italian Researchers in Japan (AIRJ) and served as vice president for five years. I hold a PhD in Physics from the University of Southampton, UK.
